Please understand you are purchasing our time & professional genealogical expertise, not guaranteed results. There are many variables in the pursuit & success of genealogical truths, much depends on ancestral memory, accessibility & security of repositories & the physical and/or digital existence of evidentiary source material.

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee total success for any project. We will however, guarantee to do our very best to provide you with the correct ancestral connections & genealogical/historical information & attempt to solve any family mysteries you may have using documentable sources from research using traditional methods & DNA evidence where available.

Every research project starts with an initial, free, no obligation electronic consult to ascertain the direction you’d like to take & the outcomes you hope for. Email us to discuss your desired outcome so we can prepare a viability plan once we ascertain if & how we can help with your research goals. Once you remit payment & accept our agreement, the hunting & gathering begins!

We prioritise each project according to booking date & endeavour to complete all complex research projects within 12 months & most smaller projects in 2-9 months. All genealogy/family history projects are dependent on the availability of information & will be completed as soon as humanly possible. Clearly, the more complex & in-depth a project is, the longer the research time will be. Should you wish a faster turn around time, please advise us at the outset.

Research - do I buy blocks of time or a package?

Our most popular research practice is by blocks of time, engaged by the client for a specific number of hours for genealogy/family history research. The same practice we use for local history research. It’s efficient & practical. It’s also the easiest bundle to build on – clients can commission blocks of time for their family history project as they can afford it!

For those more comfortable with a complete package & it’s inclusions, we have Genealogy & Family History packages already put together for you. Regardless of your preference for research practice, the client is aware up front of what our time will cost. Both our research methods can be tailored to suit your specific needs, so drop us an email with your particular needs so we can create a bespoke family history bundle for you & get to work hunting and gathering.

  • We are offering all new clients an initial 8 hour block of professional genealogical research on your research question/goal for $499.00AUD. After this initial genealogy research period, additional hours can be commissioned at any time in 4 hourly blocks at $249.00AUD per block.
  • Genealogy research packages start at $699.00AUD for a minimum 18 hours of professional genealogical research on 1 of your grandparent’s direct line ancestry.
  • Family history research starts at – $1,100.00AUD for a minimum 50 hours of professional research into either your maternal or paternal grandparent’s (1-2) direct ancestral lines.
